Pune, (Maharashtra) [India]: Dr. Prachiti Punde from Pune is participating in the Mrs. Universe 2022 contest to be held in Seoul, South Korea in June 2022 where 110 contestants from 90 countries will take part in the competition. Dr. Prachiti Punde will represent India. Earlier Dr. Punde has been honored with Mrs. Pune 2019, Mrs. India 2020 and Mrs. Universe Australasia 2021. She talked about her journey from Karmala in Solapur district to Pune and Seoul in the press conference. While addressing the press she said that, “in the Mrs Universe pageant, I would have the opportunity to showcase our Indian culture and traditions in front of more than 110 contestants from 90 countries”.

Dr Prachiti has got her MBBS degree. She is an anesthetist at KEM Hospital, Pune. After her marriage she settled down in Karmala, in Solapur District with her family. In rural areas like Karmala, she worked towards the goal of women empowerment. She also generated employment for rural women in rural area.

Dr. Prachiti through her firm ‘Prachiti Kokoro’ which is working for the last 12 years. Knowing the importance of ‘Life Coaching’ in real life, she has taught self-skills to thousands of women through this firm. She also conducted more than 350 lectures on Life Coaching all across Maharashtra. Even after shifting back to the city, she is making continuous efforts to improve the economic condition, physical and mental health of women in rural areas through her NGO, Abhijeeta Mahila Handicraft Center in Karmala taluka for the last 18 years. Through this organization, She tries to make women and girls financially self-sufficient through training in jute making, banjara embroidery, mural work, stain wood etc. Dr. Punde also serves as the Vice President of the Sudharana Seva Trust under the Prime Minister’s Campaign ‘Sashakt Bharat Kushal Bharat’ scheme. She has been honored by the NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) for her work in connecting people from rural areas to urban areas.
